Pirates vs Tigers Prediction

Detroit has struggled to find victories over the last few series, but their loss on Tuesday was easily their worst. The Tigers made a number of crucial mistakes, and you could tell they weren’t focused, which led to another loss. Detroit is 28-24 on the road this year, while Pittsburgh is 28-24 at home. Pittsburgh came into this series playing very poorly, but they have a chance to collect a sweep here. The Pirates are starting Falter, who has allowed at least three earned runs in four of his last five starts. Detroit is going with Melton, who is making his MLB debut. This is a very tough game to get a read on, but I do think Detroit found some momentum at the plate on Tuesday, and I think they will be sharper behind Melton in his first start. Take the Tigers -1.5 here.
