I don’t like taking pitchers making their major league debut, as we have nothing to go off of in terms of sample size. However, the Yankees are rolling, so it probably doesn’t matter. Rodriguez is also a top-100 prospect, so he’s not your regular guy making his first start. Rodriguez has an above-average slider and fastball already. Also, Eovaldi looks nothing like the pitcher he’s capable of being with his 5.79 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. I have to side with the Yankees and the cheap price.
