In this article we will formulate a Rays vs Brewers prediction for this MLB game on Saturday, May 10th at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

The Tampa Bay Rays are 17-21 this season after they won game one by a score of 4-3 on Friday night. Tampa Bay trailed 2-1 in the fourth and they were tied at three in the eighth, but they managed a bases loaded walk in the eighth to get the win. The Rays recorded seven hits and they committed one error in the game, while they were led by Walls and Lowe, who both had one RBI in the win. TB started Littell, who allowed six hits and one earned run over 6.0 innings, while Sulser was credited with the blown save, but also got the win.

Prior to this series, the Rays lost all three against the Phillies, but did win two out of three against the Yankees before that. Tampa Bay has lost seven of their last ten games and they are currently fourth in the AL East standings. The Tampa Bay pitching staff has a 3.76 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP and a .238 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 145 runs with a .243 batting average and a .309 on base percentage this season. Junior Caminero has led Tampa Bay with seven home runs and 16 RBIs, while Yandy Diaz has added six home runs and 20 RBIs for the Rays this year. The projected starting pitcher for Tampa Bay is Taj Bradley, who is 3-2 with a 4.43 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP over 40.2 innings pitched this season.

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers are 19-20 this year after they lost the first game in this series by a score of 4-3. Milwaukee led 1-0 early in the game and they battled all night, but their pitching let them down in the eighth for the loss. The Brewers recorded eight hits and they committed three errors in the game, while they were led by Durbin, Hoskins, and Contreras, who all had one RBI in the loss. Milwaukee started Quintana, who allowed five hits and one earned run over 5.1 innings, while Koenig allowed two hits and one earned run in just 0.2 innings for the loss.

Prior to this series, the Brewers won two out of three against the Astros, but did lose two out of three against the Cubs in the series before that. Milwaukee has won three of their last five games and they are currently third in the NL Central standings. The Milwaukee pitching staff has a 4.22 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and a .239 opponent batting average, while the offense has scored 178 runs with a .237 batting average and a .315 on base percentage this season. Jackson Chourio has led Milwaukee with six home runs and 24 RBIs, while Christian Yelich has added six home runs and 25 RBIs this year. The projected starting pitcher for Milwaukee is Tobias Myers, who is 1-0 with a 3.65 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP over 12.1 innings pitched this year.

Rays vs Brewers Prediction

Tampa Bay was able to snap their small losing streak with the win in game one on Friday night, but they are just 10-16 at home this year. The Rays have allowed at least seven runs in three of their last four games, but they are starting Bradley, who has allowed two earned runs in each of his last two starts. Milwaukee is 7-13 on the road this season and they are going with Myers, who has allowed quite a few baserunners, but has done a decent job of limiting runs. I think we are going to see another lower scoring game, so I like the under once again here.
