The Milwaukee Brewers and the San Francisco Giants meet Wednesday in MLB action from Oracle Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a San Francisco Giants vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Milwaukee Brewers will start Colin Rea here and Rea is 12-4 with a 3.72 ERA and 122 strikeouts this season. In his career, Rea is 1-2 with a 5.29 ERA and 13 strikeouts against the Giants. The San Francisco Giants will send out Blake Snell here and Snell is 2-3 with a 3.62 ERA and 116 strikeouts this season. In his career, Snell is 0-2 with an 8.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts against the Brewers.

Milwaukee Brewers Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this one looking to build on their series-opening 3-2 win over the Padres in Tuesday’s matchup. The win gave the Brewers the inside track to bounce back from back-to-back series losses to the Rockies and Cardinals over the last week and a half.

Brewers Have One Hand On NL Central Crown

Going into Tuesday, William Contreras leads the Brewers with 151 hits including 34 doubles and 82 RBIs along with 21 home runs and a .358 OBP while Rhys Hoskins has 23 home runs with 71 RBIs and Willy Adames has 29 doubles with 30 home runs and 101 RBIs. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 41 stolen bases while Adames has a team-high 154 strikeouts as well this season. Jackson Chourio’s added 19 homers and 69 RBIs also on the year.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win

  • The Brewers have won 10 of their last 11 games as road underdogs.
  • The Giants have lost eight of their last nine games against NL Central opponents that held a winning record.
  • The Brewers have covered the run line in 13 of their last 14 games as underdogs following a win.
  • The Giants have failed to cover the run line in seven of their last eight games as favorites following a home loss.

San Francisco Giants Recap

The San Francisco Giants will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing finish to Tuesday’s series opener. The loss put the Giants at risk of failing to build on their series win over the rival Padres from this past weekend.

Giants Trying To Get Back To .500

Entering Tuesday, Thairo Estrada has 79 hits along with 9 home runs and 47 RBIs while also chipping in 15 doubles. Michael Conforto has 90 hits with 16 home runs, 25 doubles and 56 RBIs while Matt Chapman has 132 hits of his own alongside 34 doubles with 23 homers, 71 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. Chapman also has the dubious distinction of leading the Giants with 145 strikeouts this season. Heliot Ramos has 20 home runs and 67 RBIs as well this year.

Why the San Francisco Giants will win

  • The Giants have won each of their last four games against NL Central opponents following a home loss.
  • The Brewers have lost 11 of their last 13 road games against NL West opponents following a win.
  • The Brewers have failed to cover the run line in each of their last four games against National League opponents following a win.
  • The Giants have covered the run line in each of their last four games against NL Central opponents following a home loss.

Brewers vs. Giants Prediction

I’ll side with the Giants in this one. I’m starting to expect the regression coming from Colin Rea as he’s been getting hit hard in some of his recent outings and I think the Giants can get to him for enough here. On the other side, Blake Snell’s been solid and I think he can hold down the Brewers at home in this one. Not one I’m rushing to bet, but I’ll side with San Francisco here.
