The Philadelphia Phillies will start Tyler Phillips here and Phillips is 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 19 strikeouts this season. This will be Phillips’ first career start against the Mariners. Philadelphia Phillies Recap
The Philadelphia Phillies could really use a win to start the series on the right foot after being swept at home by the New York Yankees to start the week thanks to a 6-5 loss in Wednesday’s series finale. The loss added yet another series loss to the resume of the Phillies, who fell to the Guardians and Twins as well over the last week.

Seattle Mariners vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction
I’m on the Phillies here. I just think it boils down to me being able to trust the Phillies’ batting lineup to produce a heck of a lot more than I trust Seattle’s right now and while the bullpen’s been problematic for the Phillies, Phillips has been able to eat up a ton of innings and not have that be too much of an issue in his starts. Woo is a great option in his own right, but there’s a hole in Seattle’s boat right now and that boat is sinking fast. Give me Philadelphia.
