The Toronto Raptors welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to town on Friday night.
Head to head, the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, but just 0-4 ATS in their last four home games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The 76ers on the other hand are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss and 1-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

At this very point in time, should the Toronto Raptors be favoured by this much over anyone in the league? Sure, the Philadelphia 76ers are really struggling at the moment, which ill touch on shortly, but the Raptors enter tonight’s game having lost six of seven straight up and against the spread. Toronto is also just 3-7 at home on the season and they will offcourse be without Rudy Gay, which actually might be a good thing to be honest.
As far as the 76ers are concerned, they continue to struggle after their blistering start to the season as they have lost four straight and 12 of their last 14 overall. Philly has really struggled to score recently with rookie Michael Carter-Williams out of the line-up as they have averaged just 90.5 points over their last four games, which is over 11 points down from their season average. MCW is not expected to play in tonight’s game.
Toronto did win in Philly by double-digits earlier in the season, but Thad Young was missing and the Raps did get a near on triple-double from Rudy Gay, so take of that what you will. The 76ers have been just rubbish on the road so far this season but they had a really nice showing in Minnesota on Wednesday night and it’s not like Toronto has been lights out at home either. Bottom line, the Raptors could indeed win this one by double-digits once more, but there is no way I’m taking as this large of a favorite over ANYONE...
