Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder hope to avoid a third straight home loss when they play the Boston Celtics.
The Thunder were able to arrest a two-game slide last night by beating the Timberwolves by 115-111 thanks to a season-high 48 points from Kevin Durant. Defensively, there was just no stopping Nikola Pekovic or Kevin Love who scored 31 and 30 points respectively, but the Wolves made the mistake of talking trash to Durant who poured in 23 of his 48 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Thunder to 26-7 on the season and 12-4 on the road. OKC now return home looking to improve on their 14-3 home record where they've lost three of their last four.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have lost six of their last seven and will be looking to avoid a fourth straight loss after falling to the Pelicans by 95-92 on Friday. Avery Bradley had a strong outing of 22 points, while Brandon Bass and Jeff Green added 16 points each, but the Celtics shot a miserable 34 percent from the field. The biggest culprits were Jared Sullinger and Jordan Crawford who combined to shoot 5 of 31 from the field. With the loss, Boston drop to 13-20 on the season and 8-10 at home where they've lost four of their last five.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Thunder are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games playing on no rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.
Head to head, the Celtics are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings and I'm expecting that trend to continue here. OKC will be eager to arrest their mini-slump at home and I think the red-hot Durant will be too much for the struggling Celtics to handle here.
