The Indiana Pacers square off against the Washington Wizards on Friday from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Head to head, the Wizards are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Indiana while the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. The Pacers are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 home games and 35-16 ATS in their last 51 games following a S.U. loss, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Wizards on the other hand are 7-1 ATS in their last eight 8 games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Eastern Conference, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

The Indiana Pacers have still been winning plenty, but their offense has taken a dive so far in 2014. It’s not a huge deal because their defense is just that good, but this is an Indiana team that has failed to score over 87 points in any of their last three outings. Maybe they are missing Lance Stephenson more than we think, but even with him in the line-up they didn’t crack 100 points from New Year’s day to fifth of January when he was injured.
The Washington Wizards had their highest scoring output of 2014 when they put up 102 points in a win in New Orleans on Wednesday, but like Indiana, offense has been hard to come by for this young squad lately. After putting up back-to-back 106 point outings in their home-and-home series with the Detroit Pistons to close out 213, Washington has struggled on the offensive end as they have averaged just 92.2 points over their last five games.
It’s no surprise that the under is a perfect 4-0 in their last four meetings in Indiana when looking at their past results. Those four games finished in totals of 166, 170, 174 and 182. The Wizards have especially struggled in those meetings as they have averaged just 82 points per game in their last four in Indiana.
So I’ll be taking the over in this one, just kidding. Given their past results in Indiana and the fact that both teams are struggling to score 90 points at the moment, I see no other option but to take the under here...
