The Indiana Pacers travel to Texas tonight to take on the Dallas Mavericks.
The Pacers have lost three straight and will be looking to bounce back in a big way after getting thumped by the Rockets by 112-86 on Friday. After beating the Rockets by 33 points back on Dec. 20, the Pacers probably thought that they could just cruise to another win but they got a huge shock in a 38-16 third quarter which saw them fall behind by as many as 29 points thanks to a red-hot James Harden. It seems like Indiana are in a major slump mentally because they just don't seem as hungry as they were a couple months ago and their recent losses have resulted in Miami climbing to within 1.5 games of them for the top seed in the East.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks are sitting just half a game inside the playoff picture in the West and will be feeling good after snapping a three-game skid with a win over of the Trailblazers. After getting outworked by the Nuggets in their loss on Wednesday, the Mavs made sure to start their next game strong and were able to build a 30-point lead against the Blazers on Friday. They'd eventually lose that lead but were still able to leave with the 103-98 victory thanks to 22 points from Dirk Nowitzki, 19 points from Jose Calderon and 17 points from Monta Ellis.
In ATS trends, the Pacers are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a loss and 0-6 ATS in their last six road games, while the Mavs are 5-1 ATS in their last six Sunday games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win.
Head to head, the Pacers are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Dallas.
The Pacers have really gone off the boil lately, but it's hard to go against them given how much success they've enjoyed against the Mavs lately. It's a tough one, but I'm following the stats and taking the visitors to win tonight.
