The Charlotte Hornets and the Denver Nuggets duke it out at the Ball Arena on Wednesday night.

The Charlotte Hornets have been in great form as they’ve won six of their past eight games and they will be aiming for a fifth straight victory after sneaking past the Kings in a 122-116 home win on Monday. Terry Rozier led the team with 26 points, Gordon Hayward added 25 points with eight rebounds and four assists while LaMelo Ball chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Hornets shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 30 from the 3-point line as they trailed for most of the game, before rallying in the fourth quarter where they held the Kings to just 20 points to come away with he narrow win despite the Kings shooting over 55 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won six of their past seven games and they will be aiming to stay hot after taking down the Pacers in a 121-106 home win on Monday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 32 points, 14 rebounds and five assists, Will Barton and Michael Porter Jr. each scored 20 points while Jamal Murray chipped in with 16 points with eight assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 46 percent from the field and 15 of 28 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early nine-point lead at halftime, before rallying in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Pacers by 34-15.

Looking at the betting trends, the Hornets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games following a win. The Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 5-13-1 ATS in their last 19 games following a win of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings in Denver and the Hornets are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Denver.

The Hornets have been flying under the radar lately as they’re coming into this one with plenty of momentum after taking down the Kings on Monday, while the Nuggets have won six of their past seven games despite Murray’s shooting woes. This should be a good contest and I do see the Nuggets winning at home, but this just seems like too many free points to be giving this Hornets team.
