Two of the hottest teams collide as the Utah Jazz take on the Phoenix Suns at the PHX Arena on Wednesday night.

The Utah Jazz have been in great shape as they were riding a nine-game win streak before getting stopped in their tracks by the red-hot Mavericks in a 111-103 road loss on Monday. Mike Conley drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 28 points and seven assists, while Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson and Donovan Mitchell each scored 16 points. As a team, the Jazz shot just 42 percent from the field and 12 of 44 from the 3-point line as they scored just 17 points in the second quarter to trail by eight points at halftime, before getting blown out in the third quarter where the Mavericks poured in 37 points to blow the margin out to 18 points. Donovan Mitchell shot just six of 23 from the field while Royce O’Neal scored just two points on zero of eight shooting.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been one of the hottest teams in the league as they’ve won 15 of their past 18 games and they will be looking to build on their current six-game win streak after sneaking past the Rockets in a 133-130 road win on Monday. Devin Booker led the team with 36 points and six assists, DeAndre Ayton added 27 points with 11 rebounds and two blocks, Mikal Bridges scored 20 points while Chris Paul chipped in with 19 points, 11 assists and four steals. As a team, the Suns shot 51 percent from the field and 18 of 37 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control of the contest, leading by as many as 15 points, before hanging on for the narrow win as they forced the turnover on the final possession for the Rockets.

Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 8-18-2 ATS in their last 28 games following a loss. The Suns are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games, 26-5 ATS in their last 31 games against a team with a winning record and 40-17 ATS in their last 57 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall and the under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Phoenix.

The Jazz are coming into this game on a tear as they’re riding a nine-game win streak, while the Suns have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league with 15 wins in their last 18 games. Neither team has any major injuries to cover, so we’re in a for a good contest here. It’s hard to split these two teams at this stage of the season, but the Jazz are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, while the Suns are currently on a five-game home win streak. With that being said, I’m leaning towards the Suns to get the job done at home in a close one.
