The Phoenix Suns invade the Staples Center to do battle with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

The Phoenix Suns have been in red-hot form lately as they’ve won 10 of their past 11 games and they will be looking to build on their current seven-game win streak after outlasting the Jazz in a 117-113 overtime win last night. Devin Booker led the team with 35 points on 13 of 31 shooting, Chris Paul added 29 points with nine assists while DeAndre Ayton chipped in with 18 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Suns shot 44 percent from the field and 11 of 34 from the 3-point line as they squandered a 13-point lead in the third quarter, before starting overtime with a 7-2 run to pull away for the narrow win.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in great form themselves as they’ve won eight of their past 10 games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Trailblazers in a 133-116 home win on Tuesday. Paul George drained six 3-pointers to lead the team with 36 points and five assists, Kawhi Leonard added 29 points with 12 rebounds and seven assists while Reggie Jackson chipped in with 23 points off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot 51 percent from the field and 16 of 41 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 47 points in the first quarter, before running away with it in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout. Defensively, the Clippers really did a great job of limiting Damian Lillard to just 11 points on two of 14 shooting which just kept the entire Trailblazers in check.

Looking at the betting trends, the Suns are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 road games, 12-1 ATS in their last 13 games against a team above .600 and 40-17 ATS in their last 57 games overall. The Clippers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games, 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles, the Suns are 1-8 ATS in the last nine meetings in Los Angeles and the Suns are 3-10 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall.

The Suns have been one of the hottest teams all season and they’re coming into this one with plenty of confidence after beating the Jazz in overtime last night, but the Clippers are coming in with plenty of swagger themselves after putting the Trailblazers on ice on Tuesday. This should be the game of the night and I’m tempted to take the Suns with the points here, but the Suns are just 1-8 ATS in the last nine meetings in Los Angeles and I think that trend continues as the Clippers put a lid on the Suns backcourt in this one.
