The San Antonio Spurs invade the Crypto.com Arena to battle the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in poor form as they’ve lost eight of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap their three-game skid after coming up short against the Lakers in a 113-104 road loss last night. Keldon Johnson led the team with 25 points on nine of 20 shooting, Zach Collins added 16 points off the bench while Jeremy Sochan chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Spurs shot just 37 percent from the field and eight of 34 from the 3-point line as they did a good job of hanging with the Lakers until the fourth quarter where they allowed the Lakers to score 32 points to pull away in the end. Tre Jones had a night to forget as he finished with just six points on three of 15 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in decent form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Lakers in a 133-115 win on Tuesday. Paul George led the way with 27 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Kawhi Leonard added 25 points with nine rebounds while Norman Powell chipped in with 22 points on eight of 12 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 19 of 38 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 77 points in the first half which allowed them to cruise in the second half almost unchallenged.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Clippers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Los Angeles and the under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall.

The Spurs will again be missing Romeo Langford, while the Clippers will be missing John Wall and they have Marcus Morris and Luke Kennard both listed as questionable. The Spurs haven’t been able to get anything going lately and I don’t know how much of a fight they will put up after last night’s loss to the Lakers. The Clippers have the added advantage of extra rest and I think they take care of business in this one behind a big game from Kawhi Leonard who loves playing his former team.
