The Boston Celtics travel to the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

The Boston Celtics have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after falling short to the slumping Rockets in a 111-109 road loss on Monday. Jaylen Brown led the team with 43 points on 16 of 25 shooting, Jayson Tatum added 22 points with eight rebounds and six assists while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 20 points off the bench. As a team, the Celtics shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 42 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their offense and had to work hard to cut a 13-point deficit to one point, only to allow the Rockets to slip away in the end.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to stay hot after blowing past the Hawks in a 136-115 road win on Monday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists, Mike Conley added 21 points with six assists, Jaden McDaniels added 19 points on eight of 10 shooting, while Kyle Anderson tallied a triple-double of 14 points with 10 rebounds and 12 assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 58 percent from the field and 12 of 28 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Hawks from the start and were always in control after exploding for 76 points in the first half.

Looking at the betting trends, the Celtics are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games playing on one days rest. The Timberwolves are 0-4 ATS in their last four home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team above .600.

Head to head, the over is 7-2 in the last nine meetings overall, the Celtics are 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall and the Celtics are 5-1 ATS In the last six meetings in Minnesota.

The Celtics are shorthanded once again as Robert Williams and Payton Pritchard are both still out, while the Timberwolves are keeping eyes on Jaylen Nowell, Austin Rivers, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert who are all questionable. The Celtics could really do with a win to get their season back on track and they could have gotten lucky with the Timberwolves missing a host of key players. This is certainly a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but as it stands, I’ll lean towards the Celtics who are 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall.
