The Detroit Pistons invade the Scotiabank Arena to do battle with the Toronto Raptors on Sunday afternoon.

The Detroit Pistons have been in rough shape as they’ve lost nine of their last 12 games overall, but they will be hoping to build some momentum after stopping a three-game skid with a 138-131 double overtime over the Spurs on Friday. Bojan Bogdanovic led the team with 32 points on 11 of 24 shooting, Jalen Duren added 30 points with 17 rebounds and four blocks while Jaden Ivey chipped in with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 43 percent from the field and seven of 37 from the 3-point line as they squandered a nine-point fourth quarter lead to allow the Spurs to send the game into overtime, but they stayed focused and were able to slip away in the second overtime. Jaden Ivey had a rough shooting night as he made just three of 15 from the field, while Killian Hayes finished with just four points on one of 11 shooting.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in pretty good form as they’ve won five of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak snapped by the Jazz in a 122-116 loss on Friday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 35 points, six rebounds and four assists on 12 of 21 shooting, Gary Trent Jr. added 19 points, Fred VanVleet added 17 points while Scottie Barnes tallied 12 points with seven rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Raptors shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 34 points in the first quarter take the lead into halftime, before pouring in 35 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 14 points, but they allowed the Jazz to hang around and it cost them in the end as the Jazz exploded for 39 points in the fourth quarter to snatch the game from them in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pistons are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games following a win, 1-4-1 ATS in their last six Sunday games and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Raptors are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games against a team with a road record below .400.

Head to head, the over is 21-8-1 in the last 30 meetings in Toronto, the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Toronto and the Pistons are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Pistons are still shorthanded with Marvin Bagley out and they are keeping eyes on Nerlens Noel and James Wiseman who are both listed as day to day, while the Raptors are still without OG Anunoby who has still not been cleared for contact. The Pistons are still struggling for consistency, but they will be feeling so much better after outlasting the Spurs in a double overtime win on Friday, but they’re still big underdogs in this spot and for good reason, as the Raptors have been ticking along nicely and they were enjoying a three-game win streak before falling just short to the Jazz in their last outing. The Raptors come into this one as the team in better form and I think that remains the case as the Raptors take care of business with a win and cover at home.
