The Atlanta Hawks and Brooklyn Nets meet Wednesday in NBA action at the Barclays Center.

The Atlanta Hawks look for another win to improve to 4-0 on the season. The Atlanta Hawks are averaging 124.7 points on 48.2 percent shooting and allowing 112 points on 41.7 percent shooting. Trae Young is averaging 34 points and four rebounds while John Collins is averaging 14 points and 6.3 rebounds. Kevin Huerter is the third double-digit scorer and Danilo Gallinari is grabbing four rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks are shooting 41.6 percent from beyond the arc and 85.9 percent from the free thitem line. The Atlanta Hawks are allowing 28.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 48.3 rebounds per game.

The Brooklyn Nets look for a win to get a game above a .500 record. The Brooklyn Nets are averaging 115.8 points on 45.4 percent shooting and allowing 104 points on 40.7 percent shooting. Kyrie Irving is averaging 29.3 points and six assists while Kevin Durant is averaging 26.7 points and four rebounds. Caris LeVert is the third double-digit scorer and Chris Chiozza is dishing four assists. The Brooklyn Nets are shooting 39.9 percent from beyond the arc and 80 percent from the free thitem line. The Brooklyn Nets are allowing 30.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 49 rebounds per game.

The Hawks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Nets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games playing on 1 days rest. The under is 5-2 in Hawks last 7 overall. The under is 4-0 in Nets last 4 overall. The Hawks are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Brooklyn and 3-11 ATS in the last 14 meetings.

The Atlanta Hawks are on a roll offensively and are showing signs of fulfilling expectations, but they also have yet to play a contender and the defense is still shaky at times. We’ll learn a lot about the Hawks in this matchup. The Brooklyn Nets are coming off back to back losses, but Kyrie and Durant are fully rested and for the most part, Brooklyn has been ridiculous when playing with a full roster. I was high on the Hawks before the season started, but I need to see a bit more before backing them in a spot like this. I’ll back the Nets and the reasonable chalk.
