The Brooklyn Nets and the Dallas Mavericks do battle at the American Airlines Center on Sunday night.
Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
The Brooklyn Nets have shown signs of life recently with two wins in their past four games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after falling just short to the Hawks in a 124-121 loss last night. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 25 points on eight of 17 shooting, Julius Randle and Nolan Traore each scored 19 points, Day’Ron Sharpe tallied a triple-double of 12 points with 10 rebounds and 13 assists, while Mikel Brown Jr chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 42 from the 3-point line as they caught fire with 37 points in the first quarter to lead for most of the contest, but just when it looked like they were about to pull away, it was the Hawks who went on a pivotal 16-5 run in the fourth quarter to slip away at the end.
Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last six games overall and they will be eager to build some momentum after snapping a two-game skid with a 112-100 win over the Jazz on Friday. PJ Washington led the team with 26 points on seven of 14 shooting, Cooper Flagg added 21 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists, Kyrie Irving added 14 points while Morez Johnson Jr chipped in with 13 points and 17 rebounds off the bench. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 42 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line which aren’t impressive numbers at all, but this win was all about their defense as they forced the Jazz into 21 turnovers and they won the rebounding battle by 55-41 thanks to 10 offensive rebounds from Johnson Jr.

The Nets are still missing Egor Demin, while the Mavericks have ruled out Dereck Lively II, Tarik Biberovic and Sergio de Larrea again.
The Nets have been playing much better of the past week and they were more than competitive in a narrow loss to the Hawks last night, but it’s going to be tough to replicate that effort on zero days rest. The Mavericks are starting to heat up with most of their key players back healthy, they made light work of the Jazz on Friday and I think they build on that with another double digit win and cover in this spot.
