The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to the American Airlines Center to battle the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Here’s a Cavs vs Mavs Prediction.

Cleveland Cavaliers 

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in fine form as they’ve won four of their last five games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the Bulls in a 109-95 road win on Saturday. Max Strus led the team with 26 points and seven assists, Jarrett Allen and Craig Porter scored 19 points each while Isaac Okoro chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 44 percent from the field and 12 of 45 from the 3-point line, but they played great defense, particularly in the third quarter where they held the Bulls to just 16 points to pull away and earn the solid road win.

Dallas Mavericks 

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in decent shape despite their injuries as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Suns in a 128-114 road win on Christmas Day. Luka Doncic led the team with a monster game of 50 points with 15 assists and four steals, Derrick Jones Jr added 23 points on nine of 18 shooting while Dereck Lively chipped in with 20 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Mavericks shot 53 percent from the field and 16 of 44 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in a bit of trouble when they squandered an early 15-point lead, but they regrouped and exploded for 37 points in the fourth quarter to make it look easy in the end. 

Cavs vs Mavs Prediction

The Cavaliers are shorthanded once again with Sam Merrill and Ty Jerome out and Donovan Mitchell listed as questionable, while the Mavericks are still missing Kyrie Irving and Josh Green with Luka Doncic listed as questionable. This is certainly a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but the Cavaliers have been playing well and they will be well-rested as they haven’t played since Saturday, so I like them to pull off the upset if the Mavs’ Doncic isn’t playing.
