The San Antonio Spurs travel to the American Airlines Center to battle the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. Here’s a Spurs vs Mavs Prediction.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in horrid form as they’ve lost 21 of their last 22 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight defeat after getting routed by the Bulls in a 114-95 road defeat on Thursday. Devin Vassell led the team with 21 points on seven of 15 shooting, Zach Collins added 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks off the bench while Malaki Branham chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 45 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line which was good enough to stay within striking distance, until the fourth quarter where the Bulls exploded for 37 points to pull away and make it a blowout.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks injury toll looks to finally be affecting them as they’ve lost four of their past five games and just got thrashed by the Rockets in a 122-96 road defeat last night. Olivier Prospect led the team in scoring with 20 points off the bench, Richaun Holmes and Tim Hardaway Jr scored 16 points each while Dexter Dennis chipped in with 18 points on eight of 11 shooting. As a team, the Maveriks shot a miserly 34 percent from the field and seven of 40 from the 3-point line as they managed just 17 points in the first quarter and just never had a chance after falling behind by 17 points going into halftime. Jaden Hardy had a night to forget as he scored just eight points on three of 17 shooting while Grant Williams finished scoreless on zero of five shooting.

Spurs vs Mavs Prediction

The Mavericks are still severely shorthanded with Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Josh Green and Maxi Kleber all out, but they’ve still opened as favorites over the Spurs who have been terrible lately. However, the Hardaway-led Mavericks didn’t look great in their last game and now they are playing on zero days’ rest, so this could actually be a good spot for the Spurs to snag a sneaky win on the road. The Mavericks might still get the win at home, but I think we’re getting enough points here to go with the Spurs to get the cover.
