San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview
The San Antonio Spurs have been in decent shape lately as they have won six of their past 10 games overall, but they are hoping to bounce back here after getting stopped by the Pelicans in a 104-95 loss home defeat on Sunday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 16 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks, Keldon Johnson added 15 points while Julian Champagnie chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 40 percent from the field and 12 of 44 from the 3-point line as they struggled to make their open shots and scored just 19 points in the second quarter to trail by nine points at halftime and things didn’t really get much better in the third quarter where they fell behind by as many as 20 points.
Houston Rockets Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been on a tear lately as they’ve won five of their last six games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Grizzlies in a 108-99 home win on Monday. Kevin Durant led the team with 33 points on 11 of 24 shooting, Alperen Sengun barely missed all night as he scored 33 points on 15 of 17 shooting while Tari Eason chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and trailed for most of the game, until they opened the fourth quarter on a 21-9 run to secure the gritty win at home despite having only three players score more than eight points.
San Antonio v Houston Free Prediction
The Spurs are keeping an eye on Jeremy Sochan who is questionable due to a sore right quad, while the Rockets are still playing without Steven Adams. These teams recently played last Tuesday and it was the Rockets who dominated the fourth quarter by 29-14 to overcome a 16-point deficit and snatch the win. The Spurs will be feeling that they should’ve won after leading for a majority of the contest, but they couldn’t make their shots when it mattered most and I think we’re about to see a similar result in this one. I might be tempted to take the Spurs if we were getting more points, but with the line so short, I will stick with the Rockets to take care of business at home.
