Tre Mann led the team in scoring with 20 points in just 12 minutes off the bench, Brandon Miller added 18 points, LaMelo Ball scored 17 points with five assists while Miles Bridges chipped in with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Hornets shot 52 percent from the field and 24 of 59 from the 3-point line as they caught fire early and dominated the first quarter by a ridiculous 45-14 and they just didn’t take their foot off the gas to finish with easily their most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been a real comeback story as they’ve won nine of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Pistons in a 98-92 road defeat on Saturday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 26 points, eight rebounds and four steals, John Collins added 25 points on nine of 14 shooting while James Harden tallied 19 points with seven rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and scored just 14 points in the first quarter to trail by 19 points early, but it was almost as if a different team came out of the locker room after halftime because the Clippers dominated the second half by 57-37 to run down the Pistons with time to spare.

The Hornets are still keeping an eye on Pat Connaughton and Collin Sexton who are both questionable, while the Clippers have ruled Bradley Beal, Derrick Jones Jr, Bogdan Bogdanovic and they have Kawhi Leonard listed as questionable. This is definitely a game where you should check the linueps before tipoff, especially because of the injury cloud hanging over the Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard. The Hornets come into this contest full of confidence after beating the Jazz by 55 points in their last outing and they’ve been able to surprise a few teams this season which is why the Clippers would love to have Leonard available for this one. The Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the league, but if Leonard isn’t able to suit up, I think the Hornets are good enough to take advantage in this spot.
