The San Antonio Spurs have been on fire as they’ve won 17 of their last 19 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after running past the streaking Hornets in a 115-102 win on Saturday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 32 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists on 13 of 24 shooting, De’Aaron Fox added 17 points, six rebounds and four assists while Stephon Castle tallied 15 points with seven rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and 11 of 33 from the 3-point line as they swarmed the Hornets in the first half to take a 59-46 lead into halftime, but the game was still in the balance heading into the fourth quarter before the Spurs went on a decisive 12-0 run to pull ahead by 16 points.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been on fire as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back after having their four-game win streak halted by the Kings in a 118-109 loss on Saturday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 31 points on 13 of 23 shooting, Darius Garland added 25 points with seven assists on nine of 20 shooting while Bennedict Mathurin chipped in with 24 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 27 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Kings early on and leaked 68 points in the first half to trail by as many as 20 points before they finally went on a run in the fourth quarter that was always going to be too late. Kris Dunn had just five points on two of seven shooting while Brook Lopez finished scoreless in 22 minutes of action.

The Spurs are still missing Dylan Harper and David Jones Garcia while the Clippers have ruled out Bradley Beal with Kawhi Leonard listed as doubtful for this contest. Both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of winning momentum, but the Spurs have opened as road favorites which is expected given that they’ve lost just two of their last 19 games. The Clippers were on fire before they laid an egg against the Kings in a tough loss on Saturday and now they will likely be without Kawhi Leonard for this one. The line seems hefty, but I still think the Spurs do enough to get the win and cover on the road in this spot.
