Golden State Warriors Betting Preview
The Golden State Warriors have been in decent form lately as they’ve split their last six games overall and they will be eager to build some momentum after outlasting the red-hot Suns in a 101-97 road win on Thursday. Pat Spencer led the team with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists, Gui Santos added 18 points with seven assists while De’Anthony Melton chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 20 of 55 from the 3-point line as they went cold and scored just 17 points in the third quarter to squander an early 10-point lead and trail by 14 points before they dominated the fourth quarter by 25-15 to escape with the narrow road win.
Los Angeles Lakers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be gunning for a third straight win after sneaking past the 76ers in a 119-115 win on Thursday. Austin Reaves led the team with 35 points on 12 of 17 shooting off the bench, LeBron James added 17 points with 10 assists while Jake LaRavia and Rui Hachimura each scored 14 points. As a team, the Lakers shot a healthy 56 percent from the field and nine of 25 from the 3-point line but they struggled in the first half and trailed by as many as 14 points, before they poured in 68 points in the second half to run past the 76ers with time to spare. The Lakers won the rebound battle by 42-28 and they held the 76ers to just five of 24 from the 3-point line.
Golden State v Los Angeles Free Prediction
The Warriors are going to be shorthanded once again with Stephen Curry, Seth Curry, Kristaps Porzingis and Jimmy Butler III all ruled out, while the Lakers are keeping an eye on Luka Doncic who is currently listed as doubtful. The Warriors haven’t been at their best lately but they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from their thrilling comeback win over the Suns in their last outing. However, it’s the Lakers who enter this contest as the team in better form and the return of Reaves really softens the absence of Doncic who is probably sitting out again. The Warriors are still capable of pulling off the upset despite being so shorthanded, but I think the Lakers get the job done in this one.
