The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Dallas Mavericks once again at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.

The Dallas Mavericks have won five of their past nine games, but they’ve lost all three of their games since Luka Doncic went down, so they will be eager to bounce back after falling short to the Clippers in a 97-91 road loss on Sunday. Kristaps Porzingis led the team with 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting, while Jalen Brunson added 20 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 41 percent from the field and six of 30 from the 3-point line as they rode the hot hand of Porzingis early on to take the lead into halftime, but they went ice-cold in the third quarter and scored just 15 points to fall behind by 12 points. Tim Hardaway Jr. had a night to forget as he scored just eight points on two of 12 shooting while Frank Ntilikina scored just three points on one of six shooting.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in great shape as they’ve won nine of their past 12 games and they will be looking to stay hot after Sunday’s home win over the Mavericks. Paul George led the team with 29 points sand six assists on 12 of 25 shooting, Reggie Jackson added 23 points on eight of 14 shooting while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 16 points and 10 rebounds on six of seven shooting. As a team, the Clippers shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line, but this win was about their defense, particularly in the third quarter where they held the Mavericks to just 15 points to take control of the game. Eric Bledsoe had a quiet game of just two points on one of four shooting while Serge Ibaka continues to work himself into the rotation as he finished with six points on two of eight shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Mavericks are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Clippers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games playing on one days’ rest.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall and the Mavericks are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

The Mavericks have been doing it tough since Luka Doncic went down but the new is that he is currently listed as questionable, so he could be able to return in this one. The Clippers went through a bit of a down spell and they will be without Nicolas Batum in this one, but they bounced back with a hard-fought win over the Mavericks on Sunday. It’s always tough to beat the same team twice in a row, so I’m leaning towards the Mavericks to get their revenge with a much-needed win here as Porzingis and Brunson get a bit more help this time.
