Los Angeles Clippers vs Miami Heat NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/15/21

The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Miami Heat at the Staples Center on Monday night.

The Miami Heat have been in decent shape lately as they’ve won five of their past eight games, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their four-game win streak snapped by the streaking Jazz in a 112-94 road loss on Saturday. Kendrick Nunn led the team with 23 points on eight of 15 shooting, Jimmy Butler added 15 points with eight rebounds and five assists, Max Strus added 15 points off the bench while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Heat shot just 40 percent from the field and 12 of 36 from the 3-point line as they held the Jazz to just 18 points in the first quarter, before getting absolutely blown out as the Jazz opened the third quarter with a 16-0 run to go up by 21 points and put the game to bed.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won seven of their past 10 games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after last night’s 128-111 win over the Cavaliers. Lou Williams led the team with 30 points and 10 assists, Marcus Morris provided the spark off the bench with 22 points, Serge Ibaka scored 21 points while Patrick Beverley chipped in with 16 points and five assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 30 from the 3-point line as they poured in 70 points in the first half, before putting the game out of reach in the third quarter where they led by as many as 28 points before easing off in the fourth quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 18-8 ATS in their last 26 games against a team above .600 and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Clippers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings overall and the Heat are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

Goran Dragic has missed four straight games with an ankle injury and his status for Monday is uncertain, while Paul George will likely miss his sixth straight game with a bone edema in his right foot. Kawhi Leonard didn’t play last night due to a left leg contusion and his status for tonight is unclear, so the Clippers could be severely shorthanded once again. It’s hard to know what to expect from either team, but the Heat are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall and I’d feel better with my money on the Clippers who are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest.
