The Golden State Warriors have been in a rut as they’ve lost three of their past four games overall and they will be hoping for a better showing after getting run over by the Mavericks in a 109-99 road loss on Wednesday. Jonathan Kuminga led the team with 27 points, Andrew Wiggins added 17 points while Trayce-Jackson Davis chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Warriors shot 40 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line as they struggled mightily at the start, scoring just 15 points in the second to fall behind going into halftime and things only got worse in the fourth quarter where they fell ebhind by as many as 18 points at one stage. With Stephen Curry still out, the Warriors needed someone else to step up but Klay Thompson finished with just eight points on three of 13 shooting. The Warriors will face the Knicks and Grizzlies after this one.
Los Angeles Lakers
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this spot after getting thrashed by the Kings in a 120-107 road loss on Wednesday. Austin Reaves led the team with 28 points, six rebounds and four assists, Anthony Davis added 22 points with 10 rebounds and three assists while LeBron James tallied 18 points with 13 rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 32 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Kings in a close contest, until the Lakers went cold and managed just 17 points in the third quarter to allow the Kings to pull away.

The Warriors could be missing a couple key players in this one with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green both listed as questionable, while the Lakers are still without Christian Wood and they are keeping an eye on LeBron James who is questionable once again. The season series is currently split at 1-1, but this is the first meeting at the Crypto.com Arena where the Lakers have won seven of their last nine games. This could be another close one, but I’m more comfortable going with the Lakers at home, with fingers crossed that Curry isn’t able to suit up for this contest.
