Jalen Brunson led the team with 45 points on 14 of 30 shooting while OG Anunoby and Donte DiVincenzo each scored 12 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Knicks shot 43 percent from the field and six of 29 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their effort on defense as they were always in full control after limiting the Trail Blazers to just 16 points in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been on a nice run as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight win after taking down the Lakers in a 120-107 win on Wednesday. Harrison Barnes drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 23 points, De’Aaron Fox added 21 points with seven assists while Domantas Sabonis tallied a triple-double of 17 poitns with 19 rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Kings shot 52 percent from the field and 19 of 41 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Lakers in a tightly contested first half, before they opened the third quarter on a 15-6 run to start to pull away.

The Knicks are still missing a couple of players with Julius Randle ruled out and OG Anunoby listed as questionable, while the Kings have ruled out Trey Lyles again, and they have Kevin Huerter listed as questionable. Both teams are coming into this meeting in similar form, but the edge surely goes to the Kings who looked great in their big win over the Lakers in their last outing. I’m sure we’re going to see a close contest here, but the Kings have been the team in better form overall and they should be well-rested as they haven’t played since Wednesday, so I’m sticking with the Kings to take care of business at home.
