Maccabi Ashdod has won seven of the last eight meetings against Maccabi Haifa, which includes a four-point victory about three weeks ago in the last meeting.
Maccabi Ashdod are in terrible form right now with five straight losses and a defense that has issues getting stops. However, let’s not act like Maccabi Haifa is playing much better these days with losses in five of their last seven and they haven’t been able to win back-to-back games in over five months. Maccabi Haifa has had issues stringing together success and a lot of it has to do with an offense that can run hot and cold. I’m not laying a bunch of points just because one team is in worse shape.
While I may end up regretting this, I’ll take my chances with Maccabi Ashdod and the boatload of points.
