The Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies meet Saturday in NBA action at the FedExForum.

The Atlanta Hawks look for another win after smoking the Bulls in their season opener. The Atlanta Hawks are averaging 124 points on 53.8 percent shooting and allowing 104 points on 41.4 percent shooting. Trae Young is averaging 37 points and six rebounds while Bogdan Bogdanovic is averaging 15 points and seven rebounds. Cam Reddish is the third double-digit scorer and John Collins is grabbing four rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks are shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc and 82.8 percent from the free thitem line. The Atlanta Hawks are allowing 22.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46 rebounds per game.

The Memphis Grizzlies look for a win after losing their opener to the Spurs. The Memphis Grizzlies are averaging 119 points on 51.6 percent shooting and allowing 131 points on 50.5 percent shooting. Ja Morant is averaging 44 points and nine assists while Dillon Brooks is averaging 16 points and four rebounds. Jonas Valanciunas is the third double-digit scorer and Brandon Clarke is grabbing three rebounds. The Memphis Grizzlies are shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc and 61.1 percent from the free thitem line. The Memphis Grizzlies are allowing 40 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 49 rebounds per game.

The Hawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Grizzlies are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The over is 19-9 in Hawks last 28 overall. The under is 4-1 in Grizzlies last 5 overall. The under is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings.

The Atlanta Hawks don’t prove much with a win over the Bulls, but they looked great offensively and didn’t even get key production from some of the names you’d expect. The Memphis Grizzlies struggled mightily in the bubble and didn’t play a lick of defense in their opener against the Spurs. I question just how much a young team like the Grizzlies are struggling to adapt to these new situations of COVID and there being no fans in the building. The Hawks have big expectations this season and passed their first test. I’ll lay the point with Atlanta.
