The San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies meet Tuesday in NBA action at the FedExForum. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Spurs vs Grizzlies prediction.
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have cooled off a bit recently as they’ve lost three of their last four games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling just short to the 76ers in a heartbreaking 133-126 double overtime loss on Sunday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 33 points, 18 rebounds, six assists and seven blocks, Malaki Branham added 22 points while Julian Champagne and Tyus Jones each scored 17 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 44 percent from the field and 16 of 44 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 40 points to take an early 13-point lead, only to get run down in the second overtime where they got buried by the 76ers’ Maxey who finished with 52 points for the game.
Memphis Grizzlies
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies were on a three-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the 76ers in a 116-96 home loss on Saturday. Scottie Pippen Jr led the team with 24 points and five assists, GG Jackson added 17 points while Jordan Goodwin chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 41 percent from the field and nine of 26 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep pace from the start, falling behind by 20 points going into halftime before seeing the deficit balloon to 27 points in the third quarter. Brandon Clarke had a rough game as he scored just six points on three of nine shooting while Timmy Allen scored just two points on one of six shooting. The Grizzlies will face the Cavaliers and Lakers after this game.

- Seven of the Grizzlies’ last eight games as home underdogs against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back have gone UNDER the total points line.
San Antonio Spurs Team Facts

- The Spurs have covered the spread in nine of their last 10 road games against Western Conference opponents following a loss.
- Seven of the Spurs’ last eight games against Southwest Division opponents have gone UNDER the total points line.
Spurs vs Grizzlies prediction
The Spurs are shorthanded again with Devin Vassell, Cedi Osman and Keldon Johnson all out, while the Grizzlies are still missing a host of players including Yuta Watanabe, Lamar Stevens and Luke Kennard. The Spurs are coming into this one fresh off a double overtime loss, but they’ve shown some promise over the last couple of weeks, so I can see why they are favorites here. However, the Grizzlies were playing some good basketball before their loss to the 76ers which was all the way back on Saturday, so I think the Grizzlies represent decent value as the home underdog here.
