The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Milwaukee Bucks do battle at the Fiserv Forum on Monday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in decent shape as they were riding a four-game win streak before getting stopped in their tracks by the Jazz in a heartbreaking 109-108 home loss last night. Darius Garland led the team with 31 points and five assists on 11 of 19 shooting, Jarrett Allen added 17 points with 10 rebounds and two blocks, Ricky Rubio scored 15 points while Evan Mobley chipped in with 14 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 45 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they fought hard to claw their way back from an early 15-point deficit, only to come up just short as they scored just four points in the final 4:12.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in fine form as they’ve reeled off nine wins in their past 10 games and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Heat in a 124-102 home win on Saturday. Pat Connaughton led the team with 23 points, Khris Middleton added 22 points with nine assists, while Bobby Portis chipped in with 19 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Bucks shot 44 percent from the field and 18 of 50 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Heat early and poured in 69 points in the first half to build an early double-digit lead, before exploding for 36 points in the third quarter to push the margin out to 31 points.
Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games, 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games overall. The Bucks are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the under is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Cavaliers are 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings in Milwaukee and the Cavaliers are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall.
The Cavaliers were on a roll before coming up just short to the red-hot Jazz last night, so they’re coming into this game with plenty of momentum. However, the Bucks have been on fire lately as they’ve reeled off nine wins from their last 10 and they just made light work of the Heat on Saturday. The line seems a little hefty, but the Cavaliers are playing on zero days’ rest and they are 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings in Milwaukee. I’ll go with the Bucks to stay hot with another win and cover in this spot.
