Dillon Brooks led the team with 26 points on 10 of 20 shooting, Fred VanVleet added 16 points with eight assists and four steals, while Alperen Sengun chipped in with 15 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Rockets shot just 36 percent from the field and 11 of 29 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and scored just 14 points in the first quarter to put them behind by 17 points, but they didn’t panic. Instead, the Rockets just outpaced the shorthanded Grizzlies and they didn’t let go of the lead once they got it at the end of the third quarter.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after blowing past the lowly Pistons in a 146-114 home win last night. Damian Lillard led the way with 33 points and five assists, Giannis Antetokounmpo added 22 points with eight rebounds and six assists on seven of nine shooting while Bobby Portis provided the spark off the bench with 31 points and 12 rebounds in just 27 minutes of action. As a team, the Bucks shot 56 percent from the field and 19 of 42 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Pistons from the start and never looked in danger after exploding for 43 points in a dominant first quarter. The Bucks are 3rd in the East with an 18-7 record and are one win behind the leaders Boston Celtics.

The Rockets will be quietly confident going into this one as they’ve reeled off five straight wins, but the Bucks deservedly open as heavy favorites at home where they are have won 13 of 15 games. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the Rockets pull off the upset, but with the line so short, I have to take the Bucks to get the job done at home.
