The Toronto Raptors invade the Fiserv Forum to take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night in NBA action.
The Toronto Raptors have been in great shape as they’ve won six of their past nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after making light work of the Spurs in a 129-104 home win last night. Fred VanVleet led the team with 33 points and seven assists, Gary Trent Jr. added 21 points while Pascal Siakam chipped in with 18 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Raptors shot 46 percent from the field and 18 of 44 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 38 points in the second quarter to take a 15-point lead into halftime, before going on another run in the fourth quarter to lead by as many as 31 points.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in great form as they were riding a six-game win streak before getting stopped in their tracks by the lowly Pistons in a 115-106 home loss on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 31 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, Jrue Holiday added 29 points with five assists while Bobby Portis chipped in with 12 points and 14 rebounds. As a team, the Bucks shot just 42 percent from the field and 11 of 46 from the 3-point line as they fell behind by three points at halftime, before getting blown out in the second half where they managed just 42 points to allow the struggling Pistons to snatch the game from them. Khris Middleton scored just 10 points on three of 10 shooting while Grayson Allen finished with just five points on two of 11 shooting.
Looking at the betting trends, the Raptors are 8-1 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record, 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Bucks are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the under is 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall, the Raptors are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Milwaukee and the Raptors are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
The Raptors will again be without Yuta Watanabe and David Johnson, while the Bucks have already ruled out Grayson Allen and Pat Connaughton, while Jordan Nwora is listed as questionable. The Raptors are coming into this game with plenty of momentum and they looked great in their dominant win over the Spurs last night, but they’ve run into a red-hot Bucks team who will be eager to bounce back after suffering a shock loss to the lowly Pistons in their last outing. I like the Bucks to bounce back at home, but the Raptors are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Milwaukee and I just think they’re being undervalued by the bookies with this line.
