The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center on Saturday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their past nine games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Clippers in a 120-108 home win on Thursday. Ja Morant led the team with 28 points and five assists on 13 of 21 shooting, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Dillon Brooks each scored 18 points while Desmond Bane chipped in with 16 points on seven of 11 shooting. As a team, the Grizzlies shot a healthy 54 percent from the field and 11 of 26 from the 3-point line as they poured in 30 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before running away with it in the third quarter where they exploded for 38 points to push the lead out to 23 points.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have yet to really hit their stride this season, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the Spurs in a 115-90 home win on Thursday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team in scoring with 25 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, D’Angelo Russell added 22 points with five assists while Malik Beasley chipped in with 15 points off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 47 percent from the field and a sizzling 21 of 49 from the 3-point line as they outscored the Spurs by 34-20 in the first quarter to take control of the game early, before holding the Spurs to just 12 points in the fourth quarter to make it a blowout.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games following a win of more than 10 points and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games playing on one days’ rest. The Timberwolves are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a win and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games following a win of more than 10 points.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Grizzlies are 41-20 ATS in the last 61 meetings overall and the Grizzlies are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Minnesota.

The Grizzlies have struggled for consistency so far this season, but they will be hoping to build some momentum after taking down the Clippers on Thursday. The Timberwolves are in a similar position as they too were struggling before turning things around in their last two games and they can certainly get the win here if they shoot the long ball like they did against the Spurs in their last outing. Josh Okogie and Naz Reid are both listed as questionable for the Timberwolves while the Grizzlies will likely be without Dillon Brooks. You can make an argument for either side here, but I’m sticking with Morant and the Grizzlies in a close one.
