The Memphis Grizzlies and the New Orleans Pelicans do battle at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in stellar form as they’ve won eight of their past nine games overall and they will be gunning for a sixth straight victory after beating the Hornets in a 125-118 road win on Saturday. Ja Morant led the team with 26 points and six assists, Desmond Bane added 25 points, Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 18 points with 10 rebounds while Steven Adams chipped in with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 49 percent from the field and 11 of 33 from the 3-point line as they took care of business early and never looked in trouble after dominating the first quarter by 36-15.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their past 11 games, but they will be eager to build some momentum after taking down the Raptors in a 120-90 home win last night. CJ McCollum led the team with 23 points and five assists on nine of 13 shooting, Jonas Valanciunas added 18 points with nine rebounds and four assists while Brandon Ingram tallied 10 points with 11 rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Pelicans shot a healthy 59 percent from the field and 16 of 36 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Raptors right from the start and never looked in danger after taking a 16-point lead into halftime. Devonte’ Graham had a quiet game of just three points on one of five shooting but was hardly needed as the game was wrapped up early in the third quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 35-17 ATS in their last 52 road games, 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a losing record and 35-17 ATS in their last 52 games overall. The Pelicans are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings overall, the Grizzlies are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in New Orleans and the Grizzlies are 0-7 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Grizzlies are coming into this meeting as one of the hottest teams in the league and they must be full of confidence after blowing past the Hornets in their last outing. The Pelicans have been dealing with some new faces in their linuep, so they will take plenty of confidence from last night’s big win over the Raptors. The betting trends favor the Pelicans in this matchup, but they’re plyaing on zero days’ rest, so I’m sticking with the Grizzlies to stay hot with another win and cover at the short line.
