The Los Angeles Clippers invade the Paycom Center to battle the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night. Here’s a Clippers vs Thunder Prediction.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers have been on fire as they are now looking for a season-high 10th straight win after outlasting the shorthanded Mavericks in a 120-111 road win last night. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists on 12 of 22 shooting, Norman Powell added 21 points off the bench, James Harden tallied 17 points with 11 assists while Ivica Zubac and Amir Coffey scored 12 points each. As a team, the Clippers shot 55 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first half to take a 17-point lead, but they didn’t put the Mavericks away until the fourth quarter where they poured in 35 points to escape with the gritty win on the road.

Los Angeles Clippers Team Facts

  • The Clippers have won each of their last nine games.
  • The Clippers have covered the spread in each of their last six games against teams that held a winning record.
  • Each of the Clippers’ last four road games on the second leg of a back-to-back have gone OVER the total points line.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won six of their last eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after making light work of the shorthanded Grizzlies in a 116-97 home win on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Chet Holmgren added 17 points with seven blocks while Josh Giddey tallied 16 points with 12 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Thunder shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 68 points in the first half to take a 15-point lead into halftime, before they played great defense to hold the Grizzlies to just 13 points in the third quarter to put the game to bed early.

Oklahoma City Thunder Team Facts

  • The Thunder have won each of their last eight night games at Paycom Center.
  • The Thunder have covered the spread in each of their last nine games as favorites when playing with a rest advantage.
  • Each of the Thunder’s last eight home games against Pacific Division opponents have gone OVER the total points line.

Clippers vs Thunder Prediction

The Clippers could again be without Paul George who is dealing with an illness, while the Thunder are coming into this one with a full squad. The Clippers have been the hottest team in the league with a 10-game win streak and they looked great in last night’s win over the Mavericks despite squandering a 17-point lead. Meanwhile, the Thunder have been ticking along nicely and they will be full of confidence following their blowout over the depleted Grizzlies on Monday. This is a tough one to pick, so while I like the Thunder to get the win at home, I’d rather take the Clippers with the points and hope that George returns to the lineup.
