The Detroit Pistons have been on fire lately as they’ve won nine of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Nuggets in a 109-107 road win on Tuesday. Tobias Harris and Cade Cunningham led the team with 22 points each while Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren each scored 14 points. As a team, the Pistons shot 47 percent from the field and just six of 31 from the 3-point line, but this win was set up by their defense as they held the Nuggets to just 18 points in the first quarter to take an early 18-point lead which proved to be crucial as they leaked 35 points in the fourth quarter to see their lead get cut to just one point in the final minute of the game. Duncan Robinson had a night to forget as he shot just one of nine from the field for his two points.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in great shape as they’ve won nine of their last 14 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after sneaking past the Nets in a 106-102 home win on Tuesday. Mark Williams led the team with an efficient 27 points on 13 of 16 shooting, Dillon Brooks added 26 points on nine of 15 shooting while Grayson Allen chipped in with 18 points and six assists. As a team, the Suns shot 56 percent from the field and a miserly five of 20 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 12-point lead and trailed the Nets late in the fourth quarter, before they played excellent defense to limit the Nets to just two points in the final 3:32 to escape with the narrow win at home.

The Pistons are keeping an eye on Caris LeVert who is questionable with an illness, while the Suns have ruled out Devin Booker and they are keeping an eye on Jalen Green and Collin Gillespie who are both questionable for this one. This is another game where you should check the lineups before tipoff given the injury cloud hanging over the Suns who are already shorthanded. The Pistons are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, they are relatively healthy and would have a major edge in this matchup if the Suns’ Green and Gillespie both sit out. The line is short, so I will stick with the Pistons to maintain their momentum with another win and cover in this one.
