The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Moda Center to do battle with the Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have been on a tear lately as they’ve won 15 of their past 17 games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the Wizards in a 113-106 home win on Sunday. Kyrie Irving led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists, James Harden added 26 points with eight assists while Nicolas Claxton chipped in with 16 points and three blocks off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 29 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with 38 points in the second quarter, before holding the Wizards to just 23 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have been in fine form as they’ve won seven of their past 10 games, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Mavericks in a 132-92 home loss on Sunday. Damian Lillard led the team with 19 points and four assists, Gary Trent Jr. added 16 points off the bench while CJ McCollum chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Trailblazers shot just 38 percent from the field and a miserly nine of 41 from the 3-point line as they got off to a nice start with 30 points in the first quarter, before getting completely blown out the rest of the way as they simply had no answer for the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic who drained eight 3-pointers on his way to 37 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Trailblazers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a double-digit loss at home and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Nets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Portland and the Nets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall.

Kyrie Irving is away from the team due to a personal matter while James Harden is currently listed as questionable due to neck soreness, so the Nets could be severely shorthanded for this one. With that being said, I’m going with the Trailblazers to bounce back from their worst loss of the season with a solid win in this one.
