The Indiana Pacers invade the Moda Center to battle the Portland Trailblazers on Thursday night.

The Indiana Pacers have been in nice form to start the season as they’ve won seven of their first 11 games and they will be looking to build some momentum after upsetting the Warriors in a 104-95 road win on Tuesday. Myles Turner was the best player on both ends of the floor as he led the team with 22 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, Domantas Sabonis added 18 points with 14 rebounds and six assists while Aaron Holiday provided the spark off the bench with 16 points and 12 assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 28 from the 3-point line as they scored just 19 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 11 points early on, but they played great team defense to keep the Warriors’ Stephen Curry in check and then they were good enough to run away with it in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trailblazers have been in similar form as they too have won seven of their first 11 games and they will be looking to build on a four-game win streak after outlasting the Kings in a 132-126 road win last night. Damian Lillard led the way with 40 points and 13 assists, CJ McCollum added 28 points with 10 assists, Jusuf Nurkic scored 18 points with 12 rebounds while Gary Trent Jr. chipped in with 16 points and four assists off the bench. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 48 percent from the field and a franchise-record 23 of 48 from the 3-point line as they refused to lay down despite falling behind by 20 points in the second quarter and 16 points in the third quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 17-39 ATS in their last 56 Thursday games. The Trailblazers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600 and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games against a team with a winning road record.

Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall, the Pacers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Portland and the Pacers are 3-13 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall.

The Pacers have enjoyed a strong start to the season despite being shorthanded on most nights, but with the trade that just happened, I think it’s safe to expect some giteming pains now that Victor Oladipo has been shipped off. The Trailblazers have caught fire over their past four games and Lillard was back at his aggressive best in last night’s comeback win over the Kings. The Pacers will be shorthanded for this one, while the Trailblazers are playing on zero days rest, so this one is tough to call. However, the Pacers are 3-13 ATS in the last 16 meetings overall and I think that trend continues as the Trailblazers make it five in a item.
