The Orlando Magic and the Portland Trail Blazers duke it out at the Moda Center on Tuesday night.

The Orlando Magic have been in decent shape lately as they’ve split their last eight games, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting completely blown out by the Celtics in a 116-83 home loss on Sunday. Jalen Suggs led the team in scoring with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists, Wendell Carter Jr. added 14 points with eight rebounds, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Magic shot just 35 percent from the field and five of 26 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep up right from the start, managing just 15 points in the first quarter, before getting completely blown out in the fourth quarter where the Celtics exploded for 38 points.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in a real slump lately as they’ve lost seven of their past eight games and they will be hoping to put an end to a five-game slide after getting routed by the Bucks in a 137-108 home loss on Saturday. Anfernee Simons and Ben McLemore each scored 19 points, CJ McCollum added 17 points with six assists while Jusuf Nurkic chipped in with 11 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 45 from the 3-point line as they looked outmatched from the start, falling behind by 16 points at halftime, before things really got ugly in the third quarter where the deficit ballooned to 34 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a double-digit loss at home and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. The Trail Blazers are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall and the Magic are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Magic have found a bit of form with four wins in their last eight games, but they could be shorthanded in this one as E’Twaun Moore and Markell Fultz are both still out, while Mortiz Wagner is listed as day to day. The Trail Blazers are still missing Larry Nance Jr and Nassir Little, while Eric Bledsoe has yet to make his debut for his new team.  It’s hard to make an argument for either side in this one, but this looks like a decent spot for the Magic to steal one from the Trail Blazers while they’re depleted.
