San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview
The San Antonio Spurs have been in pretty good form as they’ve won six of their last nine games overall but they will be looking to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak halted by the Suns in a 111-102 road defeat on Sunday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 26 points on five of 11 shooting, Devin Vassell added 17 points while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds and two assists off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot just 42 percent from the field and 10 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and took the lead into halftime but that all changed in the third quarter where the Spurs leaked 37 points to trail the rest of the way. Julian Champagnie shot just three of 14 from the field for his 10 points while David Garcia finished scoreless on zero of four shooting.
Portland Trail Blazers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been struggling for consistency as they’ve lost seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum after taking down the Bucks in a 115-103 road win on Monday. Jerami Grant led the team with 35 points on eight of 18 shooting, Deni Avdija added 22 points with five assists while Donovan Clingan chipped in with 14 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 46 percent from the field and 18 of 43 from the 3-point line as they kept a lid on the Bucks’ starters and led this one by as many as 33 points before they took their foot off the gas with the game in garbage time.
San Antonio v Portland Free Prediction
The Spurs are still shorthanded with Victor Wembenyama, Stephon Castle and Jordan McLaughlin out, while the Trail Blazers have ruled out Jrue Holiday and Scott Henderson again with Shaedon Sharpe listed as questionable. The Spurs have been a team on the rise despite the injury to Wembenyama and they were playing great basketball before they ran into a red-hot Suns in their last outing, but they will like their chances against this banged up Trail Blazers squad who are only 3-4 at home this season. Give me the Spurs to pull off the minor upset on the road.
