The Sacramento Kings play host to the Brooklyn Nets at the Golden 1 Center on Monday night. Here’s a Kings vs Nets Prediction.

Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets have been building nicely as they’ve won six of their last seven games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the lowly Wizards in a 124-97 win on Friday. Mikal Bridges led the team with 21 points on nine of 15 shooting, Cam Thomas added 17 points, Spencer Dinwiddie scored 14 points with nine assists while Nic Claxton chipped in with 13 points and 15 rebounds. As a team, the Nets shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 33 from the 3-point line as they restricted the Wizards to just 18 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they exploded for 74 points in the second half to make it a complete blowout.

Brooklyn Nets Team Facts

  • The Nets have won seven of their last eight games as underdogs against Pacific Division opponents following a win.
  • The Nets have covered the spread in each of their last nine games against the Kings following a win.
  • Nine of the Nets’ last 10 games against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back have gone UNDER the total points line.

Sacramento Kings

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their past six games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the shorthanded Suns in a 114-106 road win on Friday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 34 points and seven assists on 11 of 24 shooting, Domantas Sabonis added 15 points with 17 rebounds and five assists while Keegan Murray and Malik Monk scored 13 points each. As a team, the Kings shot 45 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Suns early on and trailed by nine points at halftime, before they took control with a 33-12 third quarter domination to set up the narrow win. To be fair, the Suns were severely shorthanded in this one with Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant both out injured.

Sacramento Kings Team Facts

  • The Kings have lost five of their last six games as home favorites following a win.
  • The Kings have failed to cover the spread in each of their last 10 games at Golden 1 Center following a road win.
  • Seven of the Kings’ last eight home games have gone OVER the total points line.

Kings vs Nets Prediction

The Nets are still shorthanded with Dennis Smith Jr, Lonnie Walker and Ben Simmons all out, while the Kings are keeping eyes on Colby Jones and Malik Monk who are both questionable. The Nets have quietly been playing some of their best basketball of the season and they looked dominant in their big win over the lowly Wizards on Friday. The Kings are also coming into this one with plenty of momentum after taking down the shorthanded Suns in their last outing, but they’ve lost two of their last three home games so I’m surprised that they’re favored by so much in this one. I think we’re getting just enough points to take the Nets to get the cover in a close one.
