The Sacramento Kings play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Golden 1 Center on Monday night.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are starting to heat up again as they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the Warriors in a 99-96 road win last night. Naz Reid led the team with 23 points on 10 of 17 shooting off the bench, Karl-Anthony Towns added 14 points while Anthony Edwards chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Timberwolves shot just 42 percent from the field and 17 of 40 from the 3-point line, but this win was more about their defense as they held the Warriors to just 18 points in the third quarter to take the lead and escape with the narrow win in a tight finish.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in fine form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after outlasting the Jazz in a 121-113 home win on Saturday. Kevin Huerter led the team in scoring with 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Keegan Murray added 22 points while Domantas Sabonis tallied 16 points with 15 rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and 16 of 43 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and fell behind early, before they took control with a 35-17 third quarter push to build a 12-point lead and set up the win.

Looking at the betting trends, the Timberwolves are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games, 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on zero days rest and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a winning record. The Kings are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings in Sacramento, the Timberwolves are 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Sacramento and the Timberwolves are 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.

The Kings could be shorthanded here as De’Aaron Fox is listed as questionable with that hamstring injury, but the Kings have been one of the form teams of the league and I don’t think they’re going to slow down in this one. The Timberwolves were able to build a bit of a run and they looked good in last night’s win over the Warriors, but the Kings have the advantage of extra rest and I think they maintain their momentum with another win here.
