The San Antonio Spurs play host to the Memphis Grizzlies at the AT&T Center once again on Monday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in great form as they’ve actually won their last six games despite having six games postponed and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Spurs in a 129-112 road win on Saturday. De’Anthony Melton led the team in scoring with 20 points on eight of 13 shooting off the bench, Ja Morant steered the offense with 19 points and 11 assists while Kyle Anderson chipped in with 16 points on six of eight shooting. As a team, the Grizzlies shot a healthy 56 percent from the field and 17 of 35 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 35 points in the first quarter, before clamping down defensively in the fourth quarter where they held the Spurs to just 22 points to make it a blowout. Seven players finished in double figures in scoring and the bench combined for 60 points.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs will be looking for revenge as they were riding a three-game win streak before Saturday’s blowout loss to the Grizzlies. Derrick White led the team in scoring with 18 points on six of 11 shooting off the bench, Dejounte Murray added 15 points with seven assists while LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in with 14 points on five of seven shooting. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and 13 of 29 from the 3-point, but they were always fighting an uphill battle against an enthusiastic young team after allowing 35 points in the first quarter. The starters came out flat to start the game and they looked tired on the defensive end. DeMar DeRozan had a night to forget as he scored just five points on two of six shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall. The Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a double-digit loss at home and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Monday games.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall and the Grizzlies are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in San Antonio.

The Grizzlies have quietly been on a nice run lately and they’ve had all that extra time off with their postponed games, but it’s always hard to beat the same team twice in a row in their own building, so I can see why the Spurs are favorites here. However, I’m sticking with the Grizzlies to pull off the minor upset once again.
