The Washington Wizards and the San Antonio Spurs collide at the AT&T Center on Monday night.

The Washington Wizards have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost four of their past seven games, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory after outlasting the Mavericks in a 120-114 road win on Saturday. Bradley Beal led the team with 26 points and seven assists, Kyle Kuzma added 22 points with nine rebounds and four assists, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 16 points while Daniel Gafford chipped in with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Wizards shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field and nine of 24 from the 3-point line as they allowed 69 points in the first half to fall behind at halftime, but they clamped down defensively and held the Mavericks to just 45 points in the second half to escape with the much-needed win.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a slump as they were riding a six-game losing streak, before snapping out of it with a much-needed 96-88 win over the Celtics on Friday. Dejounte Murray led the team with 29 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, Keldon Johnson added 17 points with 14 rebounds, Derrick White scored 17 points with eight rebounds and seven assists while Tyus Jones chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot just 43 percent from the field and six of 24 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 24-point lead to fall behind by seven points with 2:58 left in the fourth quarter, before Murray and White sparked the team to close the game on a 15-0 run to escape with the unlikely win.

Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 16-7-1 ATS in their last 24 games against a team with a losing record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Spurs are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record, 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on two days’ rest and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Wizards are 4-16-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings in San Antonio and the Wizards are 7-22 ATS in the last 29 meetings overall.

The Wizards haven’t been at their best lately, but they will be gunning for a third straight win here after a solid win over the Mavericks. Meanwhile, the Spurs were in terrible form and they looked in deep trouble against the Celtics on Friday before rallying late to pull off the much-needed win. The Spurs were great in their win on Friday, but those types of performance have been rare from them this season, so I’m sticking with the more consistent Wizards to get the win and cover with the line so short.
