Utah Jazz vs Miami Heat NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/13/21

The Miami Heat invade the Vivint Arena to do battle with the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.

The Miami Heat are starting to build some nice momentum now as they will be looking to extend their current four-game win streak after taking down the Rockets in a 101-94 road loss on Thursday. Jimmy Butler led the team with a triple-double of 27 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, Max Strus added 21 points on six of nine shooting off the bench, Kendrick Nunn scored 16 points while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 10 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Heat shot 43 percent from the field and 15 of 42 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going, scoring just 19 points in the first quarter, before taking full control of the game in the third quarter where they outscored the Rockets by an impressive 28-10 to lead by as many as 15 points. 

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 17 of their last 18 games and they will be gunning for a seventh straight victory after last night’s 129-115 win over the red-hot Bucks. Joe Ingles led the team with 27 points and five assists on eight of 11 shooting, Rudy Gobert added 27 points with 12 rebounds and four blocks on nine of 12 shooting, Donovan Mitchell scored 26 points with eight assists while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 25 points and five assists off the bench. As a team, the Jazz shot 52 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they poured in 69 points in the first half to take a 17-point lead into halftime, before holding off the Bucks in the second half. 

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 18-7 ATS in their last 25 games against a team above .600 and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Jazz are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 home games, 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a losing record and 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

The Heat have been on a nice roll lately and they will be feeling good after their road win over the Rockets, while the Jazz have been the hottest team in the league as they’ve lost just one of their last 18 games. It’s always tough to back a team playing on zero days’ rest, but the Jazz have been the best team in the league so far and they just made light work of the Bucks. The Heat are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and I think that trend continues as the Jazz get the win and cover the short line.
