The New Orleans Pelicans have been in great shape as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak halted by the Jazz in a 105-100 road loss on Saturday. Brandon Ingram led the team with 26 points and eight assists, Jordan Hawkins added 25 points while Herbert Jones and Jose Alverado scored 13 points apiece. As a team, the Pelicans shot just 41 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they kept the Jazz in check early in the game and they were able to lead all the way until the fourth quarter where the Jazz exploded for 37 points to snatch the game away from them.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been doing it tough this season and they were on a four-game losing streak before they snapped out of it with a win over the Pelicans on Saturday. Collin Sexton led the team with 16 points and six assists off the bench, Keyonte George added 15 points with six rebounds and five assists, while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 13 points on four of six shooting off the bench. As a team, the Jazz shot 43 percent from the field and 15 of 43 from the 3-point line as they got off to another sluggish start and fell behind right away, trailing by as many as 13 points before they exlpoded for 37 points in the fourth quarter to pull off the unlikely comeback victory.

The Pelicans are still missing CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy, while the Jazz are keeping eyes on Jordan Clarkson and Lauri Markkanen who are both questionable for this one. The Jazz were able to pull off an impressive comeback victory on Saturday, but they were a complete mess before that win, so it’s hard to trust them to back it up. The Pelicans are still missing some key players but they are still the better team and I’m sure they get their revenge after letting one slip through their fingers on Saturday.
