Jordan Poole is averaging 21.2 points and 3.1 rebounds, while Kyle Kuzma is averaging 14.3 points and 2.6 assists. Why the Washington Wizards will win

  • The Lakers have lost four of their last five games as favorites when playing with a rest advantage.
  • The Lakers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last eight games as road favorites when playing with a rest advantage.
  • The underdogs have covered the spread in seven of the Lakers’ last eight games at Capital One Arena.

  • The Wizards have lost each of their last 25 night games on the second leg of a back-to-back.
  • The favorites have won each of the Wizards’ last 15 games.
  • The Lakers have covered the spread in six of their last seven games as favorites against Eastern Conference opponents following a loss.

Total Points Facts

  • Seven of the Lakers’ last eight games as favorites against opponents who are on the second leg of a back-to-back have gone UNDER the total points line.

Wizards vs Lakers Injury Report

The Washington Wizards will be without Marvin Bagley III, Malcolm Brogdon, and Saddiq Bey. Alex Sarr is questionable after not playing last night with an ankle injury.

The LA Lakers will be without Christian Wood, Anthony Davis, and Jalen Hood-Schifino. Gabe Vincent, Dorian Finney-Smith, and LeBron James are questionable.

Wizards vs Lakers Prediction

I don’t want to back the Washington Wizards as much as the next guy, as they’re arguably the worst team in the league and don’t play a lick of defense. The Lakers should win this game, comfortably. However, right when it looked like the Lakers were turning the corner, they lost to a skeleton crew that’s the 76ers. The Lakers also just lost Anthony Davis for at least a week. We’re also now seeing LeBron listed as questionable. The Lakers sure know how to make things difficult. The Wizards have seen five of their six wins come at home. It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Lakers win in a blowout, but it also wouldn’t be surprising to see the Wizards hang around or even win outright. Anything can happen. Give me the Wizards and the points.
