The Buffalo Bills meet the Washington Football Team Sunday in Week 3 NFL action from Bills Stadium in Orchard Park. Washington is coming off a matchup versus the Giants last week. The Team eked out a one-point win in that one. As for the Bills, they played the Dolphins in their last outing. Buffalo ended up rolling to a shutout win. Washington opened their season versus the Chargers in week one. The Team had a 16-13 edge heading into the fourth quarter, but couldn’t score from there in a 20-16 loss. QB Taylor Heinicke put up 122 yards with a TD on 11-of-15 passing in the defeat.

In week two the Team had better luck versus the Giants in a tight game. Washington scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 30-29 win. Heinicke had a solid outing on 336 yards with two scores and a pick, while Terry McLaurin added 11 catches for 107 yards and a score.

Over on the Bills’ side, they gave up 17 points to the Steelers in the fourth quarter of their week one game, resulting in a 23-16 defeat. QB Josh Allen managed 270 yards and a score on 30-of-51 passing, and Devin Singletary had 72 yards on 11 carries.

Game two went much better for Buffalo. The Bills jumped out to a 14-0 halftime lead versus the Dolphins and cruised to a 35-0 beatdown victory. Allen put up 179 yards with two scores and an INT, and Singletary added 13 carries for 82 yards and a score.

The Team are 5-1 ATS in their last six as an underdog and 4-1 ATS in their last five as a road underdog. Washington is also 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

Meanwhile, the Bills are 5-1 ATS in their last six in week three and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 overall. Buffalo is 5-2 ATS in their last seven at home and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 after an ATS win.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Buffalo. The Bills were able to contain the Miami offense well during week two (due in no small part to the absence of the Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa) with just 216 total yards allowed. Buffalo coughed up a couple of turnovers but only had one sack allowed.

As for Washington, they had 320 pass yards against the Giants with just one sack allowed as well. The Team gave up 6.1 yards per play but still had enough offensive potency to hang around and eventually win. I like Washington to hang around here for a while before Buffalo ekes out a cover late.
