Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys took four losses during their first 14 games, losing to the Buccaneers, Eagles, Packers and Jaguars in that stretch. Dallas finished off the regular season schedule with wins over the Eagles and Titans before a 26-6 loss to the Commanders in Week 17.

In the Monday Wild Card game versus Tampa Bay, Dallas took an 18-0 lead into the second half. The Cowboys posted another 13 points from there in a 31-14 victory. Quarterback Dak Prescott put up 305 yards with four touchdowns. Tony Pollard led the rush on 77 yards, and Dalton Schultz got two TDs on seven catches for 95 yards.

San Francisco 49ers

Over on the San Francisco side, they started out the year at a rough 3-4 overall. The 49ers finished up the season with a win streak over the Rams, Chargers, Cardinals, Saints, Dolphins, Buccaneers, Seahawks, Commanders, Raiders and Cardinals, however.

On Saturday in the Wild Card Round game versus the Seahawks, San Francisco was down 17-16 going into the second half. The 49ers posted a 25-6 run from there and won it 41-23 in comeback fashion. QB Brock Purdy put up 332 yards with three scores, and Christian McCaffrey rushed 15 times for 119 yards.

Current ATS Trends

The Cowboys are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five Divisional Playoff games. Dallas is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six on grass.

Meanwhile, the 49ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four playoff games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win. San Francisco is 12-2 ATS in their last 14 at home.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably stick with the 49ers. San Francisco is on a nice run since their last loss to the Chiefs way back on October 23. The 49ers have generally been scoring great in that stretch, and they kept it up with 41 points against the Seahawks last weekend. San Francisco posted 505 total yards with 24 first downs, zero turnovers and just three penalties in a well-rounded victory there.

As for Dallas, they also put up a solid all-around effort in their win over Tampa Bay on Monday. The Cowboys finished with 425 total yards (297 passing), 26 first downs, zero turnovers, just two penalties and a 9-of-15 rate on third- and fourth-down tries. Dallas has now scored 27 or more points in 10 of their last 11 games, so their offense is working great. This one’s looking like a potentially high-scoring affair; should be a fun game to watch.
